Handling And Control:

and Craftsmanship:

Pros: Easy to price, comfort, control,

Cons: Lack of accessories Suzuki, engine noise, be fuel injected

The Bottom This is a great bike and very happy I got it. Because I it without knowing anything it, it was the best risk I have taken.

I wasn’t sure I wanted (sounds like else I buy), so I asked Unfortunately, most of my friends and ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles, so didn’t help much. I did know was I wanted something but with an upright seating something with decent but not so much that I would myself on my first ride save that for my second), and with an easy to handle tag.

I checked on a Yamaha FZ-1 but it was too pricey, and probably would been too much power as a bike. While searching for a V-Strom 650 (not recommended as a bike, but a design I was interested in I came across the GS500F. I know what it was, but I sat on it

Wow! It fit like a glove, as the goes. It was a good size: but not too small. The seat put me in a more position than a super-sport does, and it was comfortable.

I’ve had friends tell me my bike is very light, in actuality, there are lighter out there, but it’s not bad.

I got the on the road and loved it. Remember, I had no what I was getting into this bike, so it was either to be hit or miss for me. I’ve racked up miles now, and when goes out to ride, we put about 75 to 100 on the bike at a time before to stretch, and I find no discomfort riding.

Fuel economy is and I average about 58-59 mpg both city and highway Although it doesn’t come a fuel gauge or even a light, I can reset the tripmeter at fill-up and expect to get to about 180 before I really need to a gas station.

Starting is easy, but cumbersome. the bike uses carburetors, starts require full start, wait 30 seconds, choke so as not to fill the garage exhaust, repeat. not bad, but not as as fuel injected.

Handling is but this is coming from a guy who got bike as a first bike, so I no real comparison. However, I can you that I have yet to feel the bike is either getting from me or is about to break of the road. I feel very and in control when pushing bike in the North Georgia

My biggest complaint? Suzuki and accessories. Although there are accessories out there, such as saddlebags, Joe Rocket tank etc.

I was disappointed to find even Suzuki doesn’t their own bike in the latest accessory catalog. This was a big but not a deal breaker. Of course, if you to get this bike and have any on adding accessories, you might to consider some other

Power is a little lacking, but not at least not for me. I can jump off from a with enough force I slip back in the seat. A would be nice, but not really a for this bike. Engine is another issue all together. get me wrong; the engine is built and works well, but it makes odd noises.

The word on the Internet (check out the user forums at http://www.gstwin.com) is this is normal, especially for a twin engine. Ah well. It even noticeable unless still.

I would recommend bike to anyone wanting to get in riding who has an interest in the sport of bikes. This is not a super-sport by any stretch of the imagination, but it is styled like one, and handles enough that inexperienced (such as myself) can get a feel for something other than a type bike.
