The 2008 Suzuki GZ 250 is a cruiser style motorcycle that carries over into the 2008 model year unchanged. The 2008 Suzuki GZ 250 is a lightweight and easy to ride motorcycle, which is an ideal choice for beginner riders. Powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine, the Suzuki GZ 250 will feel more at home around town than out on the open roads and highways.

The overall design of the Suzuki GZ 250 is one that makes it accessible to all riders. The seat height of just under 28 inches and a weight of just over 300 lbs. means that most riders will feel confident when on the bike. Some may find that the seat is a bit close to the handlebars, but the sporty handlebars provide for excellent handling, even in traffic tight spots.

The electric starter ensures ease of use for all riders of the 2008 Suzuki GZ 250, whether new on the bike or experienced. The five-speed manual transmission feeds the power to the wheels smoothly so riders can feel confident as they cycle upwards in speed. Although the body and chassis are lightweight, they provide plenty of rigidity to maintain precise handling in most situations.

The front and rear suspension, coupled with the comfortable seats, mean that the ride is a smooth one over most road surfaces.

The 249cc engine has plenty of power for around town riding, but some may feel that the single cylinder engine has a weak sound and lacks the additional power for touring on the highways. When travelling at speed, it can lack the additional oomph needed to pass other vehicles. This long passing time can make some riders feel unsafe when on freeways and highways with other traffic moving significantly quicker.

To travel up hills, nearly the full throttle is necessary.

Where the 2008 Suzuki GZ 250 did excel was handling, performance, and maneuvering around town. Also, both the rider and passenger seats are very comfortable, making a long day of riding that much more enjoyable. Although the 2008 Suzuki GZ 250 is an entry-level cruiser, it is equipped with many of the classic design features of the larger cruisers produced by Suzuki.

It has the signature Suzuki style, as it has a long, low, and lean profile, and includes a buttoned-down seat and spoked wheels. The 2008 Suzuki GZ 250 comes equipped with a rider seat and a separate passenger seat as a standard feature.

New For 2008

No changes were made for the launch of the 2008 Suzuki GZ 250 as it is a carryover model from the previous year.
