TVS RTR Hyper Edge Review by

I had purchased my Apache RTR Hyper in November, 2010 just a after its actual launch in the It has taken 2 days of waiting being from Chennai. to this, I have done a lot of on different machines (bikes) to up on RTR of course. Initial days this research (what I I was having different feelings on bikes.

And I don’t mind to say every bike is different and has got its own minuses.

You need to prioritize on features your heart before going for any bike in case. My heart was always on to the response pickup and you know RTR is the best in these segments. Of you need to check up on other such as mileage, torque, maintenance, reliability, service etc freezing. The above mentioned matched up well with the

New graphics were added to the bike and finally I have for it.

Experience with the Monster

It has more than a year RTR Hyper Edge has entered my and I still remember my first with my Hyper Edge. to this I have ridden bikes of other manufacturers but let me say RTR is ‘real a monster’. The throttle and pick up are the ever rejoicing and frankly speaking for anyone new to bike needs to manage in its gear and it has taken a week for me to to its initial pickup.

Now coming in to the aspects of it, being a mechanical I will include certain facts about it in the trailing

Manufacturer promised mileage is and you know it is calculated / calibrated by ideal conditions of road, wind, margin for design etc proposing the mileage. So, forget what the manufacturer has promised.

In the of its purchase to first service, my Edge was delivering at 43-48kmpl in speeds not exceeding 50 kmpl) and let me this span of first 500 kms is crucial for any machine for that to get adjusted to the conditions like riding etc. After the service the mileage has varied to a figure (never less 38kmpl till now) as you can rip the monster and I think one buys bike to rip and not for the mileage. If mileage is priority please shift to or ct 100 s. 38Kmpl is pretty decent in segment when you are actually the bike.

Manufacturer specifies a top speed of 120 kmph and actually it delivers a more than that i.e 121 – 123 when ridden single and 110 – when ridden with passenger (depends on load i.e of persons, drag due to wind

Stability wise RTR is good in dry conditions and because of TVS tires; the is less in wet or rainy conditions. normally associate RTR producing at speeds between 60kmph I too encounter vibes but not complying speeds but with RPM i.e from rpm to 5000rpm especially in 4 th gear and that it is normal.

What so ever the reason may be, it not bother me much as other of this segment produce or resistance after 80kmph and for matter RTR crosses 100kmph ease roar, thanks to its

Service is another issue is very important for any bike. RTR has to be for every 3000km and you will by yourself that your RTR has service period as the vibrations (4500 rpm range), chain up etc. Literally saying you feel a little bit uneasy without being service.

are common for any bike of course. But of the RTR will never drastically as the machine can take the beating without servicing for another to 1500 km or so.

The rear suspension of RTR is a bit hard compared to other bikes as FZ s etc but can be adjusted depending on the road (no mechanic required) as there a provision for 4 level adjustments.

The is also a bit hard and has no issue the braking effectiveness. I have (rainy day) encountered a mishap and thanks to its brakes, I with no injuries. The bike’s guard or visor was broken and the indicator was damaged and the replacement repair costed me just Rs 600/-.

If your beats for throttle response, up just go for RTR and unleash your DNA.
