When Suzuki a new concept bike back in at the Tokyo Motor Show, the fraternity was whipped into a frenzy that’s lasted six years.

The thought of a bike so both in stature and brake has kept us on tenterhooks. Fat exhausts, fat and phat power — was always supposed to be a bike makes a statement and you’ve got to the dedication to stay true to the bike.

The production B-King is almost as as the concept version, but without the supercharger. One of the most stunning of the B-King is undoubtedly its style. seen a stripped-down version, I help but wonder why on earth the exhausts have to be so big, and the housing the indicators so expansively

Hiroshi Lio, the chief for the B-King project, told me it was that the original styling were seen through to This was always intended to be flagship … bike, one instantly makes a strong Well, this bike ticks the box marked impact.

But it’s not just the aesthetics are impressive. Given the sheer of the bike, it’d be easy to it’s a lardy lump to about. But in fact although no featherweight at 235kg, it’s not as heavy as it looks.

It’s rather like old advert where a gymnast a fat suit flick-flacks his way across the gym mat surprising ease. The B-King easily intimidate you with its physique, but it handles so much than you’d believe. not to say it’s a track bike and as as I realised the world launch was at fast Lausitzring circuit, I was puzzled.

But there’s a method to the it seems.

Suzuki claims the can accelerate almost as fast as a superbike, so I expected the initial to wrench my arms from sockets and, after six of hype, plus no wind whatsoever, who could blame me? In there’s a sturdy punch the torquey engine, but the real rush kicks in as the needle past the 6,000rpm mark. If all boisterous power is too much for then there’s a second diluted and comparatively dull option.

Like the 2007, GSX-R1000’s DMS Mode Selector) switch, the also has two power settings But unlike the superbike version, one’s located on top of the 16.5-litre so you can only switch between the Monty mode A, and 70 per cent B when the bike’s stationary and in (for safety reasons). I back into the pit lane, from my track sessions and by the bike’s performance and handling.

As I knocked down the faultless my knee bashed against the of the tank and locating the rear was just as annoying.
