My first post ever on VR:

I can from first hand I’ve got a 1997 that had

about a year. It’s a of a love-hate relationship that I with it.

It’s appeal is simplicity, compactness, nice width and torque. The single thumper makes it a bit different anything out there today and it a certain classisity that to old BSA fans. It takes it fork lines from the Intruder and has little chopper look.

I it looks great, especially you do you own personal makeover.

It has a belt and the fact that as long as you oil in it, it will run almost forever, it an easy bike to care I’m proud of my bike, like a little bulldog never gives up. It’s to work on, you can do everything yourself, only moderate effort.

The and sites have a rabid group of fighting each other to out with advice, encouragement and

The price point on the bike is appealing, they are still 95% the same as they were they were introduced in A new one is about $4500 and a used one can be for a lot less.

It’s problems lay the small size which it uncomfortable for long legged (I’m 5’11 w/30inseams and OK for me, but still hasn’t much to wriggle your legs on a

The seat is also a …. I the LS in the name LS-650 means, Seat. About 100 miles is that I can handle sitting. made some improvements the last few years but I’ve it’s still gives … a charley horse a long ride.

Mine does.

There’s a distinct of aftermarket parts. Probably the maker of LS-650/S40 parts is Hawk, and they tend to be of shoddy.

Some folks say it’s handler but I beg to differ. My last was a Yamaha RD350 that I up about 20 years ago. It effortlessly, as if the bike was part of me. zing around street hardly slowing down, it where I wanted it and where I it. The LS650 has a way of over over-steering, 2 or 3 wobbly corrections around any that might be tight, a street intersection.

Not fun. I down like it’s a car

Out of the hole, it’s a fun accelerator, but about 60mph, I keep try to up another gear. Again, folks think it’s at 75mph, but I find it to be kind of out of

Suzuki ships the bike under-tuned in order to meet rules. there’s a few things you can do to hop it up, as re-jetting and replacing the exhaust but what it really needs is a camshaft, of which there is no part available, as it seems to be most things on the bike.

It is fun it could be a lot better, however. My beef is the seat, as my 240 pounds of … just can’t it. (My old RD350 also … my but it was those 2 … vibrations did it, not the lousy seat padding/shape).

I’d recommend it to someone who was for fun bike for commuting and to someone who need a smaller bike to A 100 pound person would it, and they usually do.

Here’s pic of my I’ve replaced the seat a German GTS seat (hurts but looks too cool to go back ), a rise t-bar and the removal of of chrome. I have since the chrome battery box and a few other

Last year, when I was considering a Volusia, but decided to get a bike instead, in case I a to take a few skids while my bike legs back. seriously thinking about the LS650 and going for the C50 black, with the finance offer has going on now.
