Suzuki  and motocross, an unbreakable bond result of constant effort, evolution and experimentation on race, as evidenced by the continuous updating of the range 4-stroke  RM-Z  , 450 and 250 cc versions. After being elected motocross bike of the year 2013 by the American newspaper Transworld Motocross, the new  RM-Z 450  and  RM-Z 250 MY 2014  are born from the pursuit of continuous improvement of two models already successful, as evidenced by the success in the race obtained in ‘  AMA  Supercross  2013 by James “Bubba” or competitiveness in the World  MX1  as Clement Desalle highlighted. Models which have fulfilled the expectations of the audience most passionate and demanding, but precisely in this point to a further refinement of performance in order to confirm the winning choice on race.

No distortion but several refinements able to highlight the performance in terms of lap times, quality and reliability of the mechanical dynamics.

In detail, the new Suzuki   RM-Z 450  adopts the compact 4-stroke single cylinder engine from 449 cm ³, with DOHC  DOHC  with four titanium valves. A system of injector 12 holes for better atomization of the fuel, while the new software is the ignition module  ECM  developed to achieve maximum performance at the start. Unchanged the opportunity to comment on carburetion thanks to the two connectors located behind the left radiator, with the advantage of being able to lean or enrich the fuel flow rate with respect to the starting configuration to get the maximum performance from the engine in the most diverse situations.

Updates also for the chassis: the chassis to parallel beams in aluminum confirms the tapered profile of the session offered to the pilot, with the aim of combining agility and driving sensitivity to qualities of high stability. The Showa rear suspension, fully adjustable also in calibration at high and low speeds, it offers no less than 310 mm suspension travel, to ensure the best traction in all conditions of use.

Changes to the setting of the fork upside-down 48 mm which represents the evolution of the new series  Showa  SFF  , with hydraulic and mechanical properties in the left leg in the right. New, finally, the exhaust silencer, which now boasts points of union bolted in place of the classic rivets.

The new Suzuki  RM-Z 250 MY 2014  also proposes several updates. Along the lines of what has been developed for the RM-Z 450, also the “duemmezzo” offers a new software for the control unit  ECM  to facilitate the performance at the start and two connectors for setting the carburetion.

The compact single-cylinder 249 cc with DOHC DOHC, boasts the piston achieved through analysis technology  FEM  (Finite Element Method) derived directly from racing. and is confirmed by the coating on the aluminum cylinder called  SCEM  (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material), which guarantees reliability, lightness and an optimum heat exchange. With a revised transmission, the 5-speed gearbox now offers gear changes faster and more accurate.

The parallel beams in aluminum frame keeps the shape slim and compact, with footpeg mounts designed to prevent accumulation of mud. The fork Showa SFF by 48 mm with a separate function, in addition to an advantage in terms of weight, guarantees the less friction between the moving parts and therefore better absorption over potholes.

Unchanged the full adjustability of the suspension, as well as the standard equipment of a purely competitive employment-oriented and shared with her sister from 450 cc: Excel rims aluminum handlebars  Renthal  ”Fatbar” also made of light alloy and the grip guaranteed dall’antiscivolo of the saddle are just some of the finishes that emphasize the racing soul of the new series RM-Z. As for the version 450, is also the new exhaust silencer, which now proposes the assembly via conventional bolts instead of the rivets.
