Suzuki 250 Quadrunner

Purchased October

Written October 2004

I very little about 4 when I purchased the Ozark. I had researched it the best I could and it the logical choice. My Ozark is a for the record.

It has a different front than the competition and from I could read on it, folks the front suspension better. The 250 rating came closer to the actual displacement on the Ozark. In words, it has the biggest engine in class.

Shifting into is simpler on the Ozark than the but I don’t remember on the Kawasaki.

The doesn’t look like a box wheels. The fenders are flared and it has a tougher leaner look to it. The are farther apart and more

The Ozark seems to hide a better in the woods with black on and around the engine. the muffler was black too. I liked the Yellow Ozark but it be way to visible in the woods and too easy for passing by to spot and steal.

they do run the risk of being coz I won’t be wearing bright they might not see me till too late.

Note: It looks they discontinued the Bear for the 2005 Line-up and now call it a

These spec sheets are for The red dots indicate what I to be strong or better on the Ozark the competition.

So, now that I have done my to kill it, how’s it holding up?

I haven’t broken anything I keep the oil changed and ride it I’ve hauled more on it than I should have, more weight than I have and reved it higher I should have.

It is still in one

It handles great, it is incredibly on the throttle. The brakes stop the suspension suspends.

What I like about it?

I really think of anything. The racks all my junk, it goes places I take it and it is quick, very

I have not rolled it but did flip it Started up a steep bank, my attempt at such and I failed I had my helmet on thank God.

My fear was getting mashed by the as it came down. When it over backwards, I landed on my and was still basically in the riding with this thing down on me. I pushed off the pegs both feet and let go of the handlebars as it to flip one more time and on down the bank backwards.

It landed/stopped some 15 feet me on all 4’s and still running so my reaction was to make sure it coming after me. The engine and I laid there moaning. part of me hurt, but I kind of around for compound fractures and for blood.

Not finding either, I laid there for a couple of trying to convince myself I was still alive.

Some of the handlebars hit me in the face on the way by and broke my The helmet probably stopped it was from coming farther the face area of the helmet. need to do that again soon or ever for that

I didn’t brake any bones or tear up the Ozark but it scared crap out of me. It could have much worse.

My Ozark to go play, I mean check the yea that’s it, check the fence.

A few later, in service as a mode of

The only accessories that I added are a scabbard style gun on the back and a gun rack on the front.

The style is nice in bad weather or if you are through the brush. But if you just to hop on and ride to a different spot, the rack is much handier.

I did to a softer handgrip because around and riding hard, the grips tend to make hands a little sore. a neat little hatchet summer that weighs one and fits in the storage area the seat. Should be nice for dressing deer.

I always carry a chunk of rope in the compartment too for dragging or a stranded 4 wheeler or whatever. If cold enough outside, a nice place to throw a of water or can of coke too.

the wife a helmet this so she can safely ride with me or it by herself. We are thinking that Ozark may be in our future.

If I was going to go buy 4 wheeler, I’d buy another If money were no object, buy a 4 wheel drive of some for snowy weather and park it in the The Ozark handles much than a 4 wheel drive and is fun to ride but it doesn’t care for deep snow.

Yes the price is a higher than the competition but you hit 3 grand, what’s a few hundred The Kawasaki didn’t impress me at all though it was the least expensive. No to the Cow owners.

When I test drove it, it cold natured and cheap.

I only Suzuki, Yamaha and because that is what the that actually seemed to my business carried. The Honda didn’t seem to care if I was in his or not. Negative comments I had about the local Polaris kept me from darkening doorway.
