Suzuki – Cartagena Pro Test,

Tyco Suzuki completed successful days of testing at in Spain earlier today. The new British Superbike stars Hopkins and Josh Waters well with their new and gelled quickly with #21 and #12 Tyco Suzuki GSX-R1000

Both men posted confidence lap times over the four working with their new and more importantly made progress all round, which the American and Aussie up well for the BSB tests – prior to the opening of 2014 over the Easter

Despite a high speed on day two, and being a little bit and bruised, the team’s British rider Taylor Mackenzie was to completed the four day test some impressive lap times.

International Road Racer Dunlop joined the party on day and worked through some changes on his Superbike and Supersport prior to his opening race of the at Cookstown 100 at the end of April.


“I think the test was really We definitely achieved what we to achieve, which was to get comfortable on the again and get myself back up to With so long away racing I didn’t have expectations at Cartagena, but we met every that I had set myself and maybe a bit and the base setting on the Tyco was really good.

“I’ve gelled really well Hopper as a team-mate and we had a lot of fun at Cartagena. The is to work together this which will only both of us stronger. I’m now really forward to a positive second in British Superbike with a bunch of guys.”

It’s obviously my season but Hopper, Josh and William [Dunlop] have all in well, so it should be a good all round. William Dunlop:

“Cartagena was opportunity for me to try and few different settings on the Suzuki Superbike, which I riding and clicked with quickly at the opening test at with Guy [Martin]. We also had a run out on the bike for the first time at We still have a bit of work to do but it was good to get some time on all bikes over the two tests and I being able to meet my new and crew in Spain.”

Philip – Team Manager:

“Despite three new riders in our garage at I have to say things ran very indeed. Both Hopper and put a lot of work in and I’m very pleased the results they achieved the four days.

“Lap times were not the goal this week, but we well within the ballpark and I’m pleased with the progress riders made day-on-day. proved his pedigree despite not ridden for 16 months and Josh has that big smile back on his which is great to see. He too was impressive and consistent lap times on the Superbike, so we have to be pleased

Tyco Suzuki Team 2014

After a day of preparation, meeting new members and enjoying a bit of Spanish Tyco Suzuki British new recruits John Hopkins and Waters are fired up and ready for the test of 2014 at Cartagena morning.

The Californian and Aussie joined their Scottish Taylor Mackenzie trackside for some GSX-R male and all three are looking forward to on track action tomorrow at the circuit.

Hopkins said . it’s good to be here and my new team and I’m looking forward to my track action tomorrow on the Suzuki.”

Water’s who travelled in his new team-mates last night “I’ve tried my bike out for today and had some fun with the it’s now time to get some in and I can’t wait to get started.”
