2010 Aprilia RSV4 Factory Review – A Racer Opinion SportbikeHooligan.com

2010 Aprilia RSV4 Factory Review – A Racer Opinion I was very excited to finally hop on an RSV4 Factory two years after its launch here in the USA. I must say… it was worth the wait. My general impression of the V4 Factory is one of quality. No matter where you look, there is very little to nitpick on Aprilia’s new V4. You could liken the RSV4 Factory to a “R” model Ducati – high spec Ohlins suspension, forged Marchesini wheels, chassis adjustability and a strong performance and racetrack focus. This is clearly a bike which was well thought out to every last detail and a bike created with a mission – to dominate the Superbike competition. Standout Attributes The most unique ...

2009 Aprilia RSV4 Factory First Ride – Motorcycle USA

2009 Aprilia RSV4 Factory First Ride Our friend Michael Neeves from Motorcycle News UK got an early go on the ultra-compact Aprilia RSV4 superbike. Not even grey skies, rain and a sodden Misano race track can dampen MCN’s excitement for Aprilia’s new £14,999 RSV4 Factory. We’ve waited a long time to ride the Italian firm’s dazzling new V4 superbike, which cost 25 million Euros and three and a half years to develop, but it’s been worth it. We’ll have to wait a little longer to ride it in anger in the dry, but even in soaking conditions, it’s clear this is shaping up to be one of the best superbikes ever built. A slightly damp Senior road tester, Michael Neeves, tells us the ...

MotoGP new slick tyre marking system for 2014

New slick tyre marking system for MotoGP 2014 From the first race of the 2014 season, Bridgestone will employ a new colour marking system for its MotoGP tyres to make it easier for spectators to see which front and rear tyre options each rider is using at a given time. The change in the tyre marking system has been devised in response to the Factory and Open-class machines having access to different rear slick options over a race weekend. The old marking system denoted the softer option tyre at each race with a white stripe, regardless of the compound specification of that tyre. The new system means that each of the four slick tyre compounds – Extra-soft, Soft, Medium and Hard – will ...

Aprilia RSV4 R versus RSV4 Factory – Motorbikes Reviews, News & Advice…

Aprilia RSV4 R versus RSV4 Factory The RSV4 R is $9000 cheaper than its exotic sibling, the RSV4 R Factory, and goes almost as well! WHAT WE LIKE Sexy Italian styling Tonnes of midrange grunt Wonderful exhaust note Impressive handling Instrumentation panel hard to read Low down throttle response Preceding the release of any new superbike, marketing departments across the board churn out copious amounts of ‘bling, bling’ all in the hope of ensuring a victory in the sales race for that particular marque. Polished words about how good, how fast, how light, how technologically advanced the latest creation is, and how it all combines to ensure you’ll be the fastest on ...

Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC vs. BMW S1000RR vs. Ducati 1199 Panigale S vs…

MC Comparison The World Superbike Championship celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and it’s no exaggeration to say that, historically, European brands have dominated that series. Honda won the first two titles, but in the intervening 23 years European brands have won 15 times. A remarkable 14 crowns have gone to Ducati alone, most recently in 2011, while Max Biaggi gave Aprilia its first title in 2010. Japanese manufacturers might have more money and engineering muscle, but none compete so fiercely as scrappy European brands with racing history hardwired in their DNA. This close relationship between RD and racing traditionally makes European sportbikes harder-edged and more aggressive ...

Aprilia RSV4 Factory Ash On Bikes

Aprilia RSV4 Factory Pictures: Milagro There-s always an extra sense of excitement when a manufacturer introduces a completely new bike into a sector it-s not been in before. And when that bike is a full-on, high performance superbike, the anticipation is as powerful as it can ever be. Is the new bike going to feel different? Can it possibly be up to the mark? Do they really understand what-s needed? Click on image for gallery Aprilia has history of course in doing this, unleashing the RSV Mille into the twin-cylinder superbike sector against the towering prowess of Ducati while Honda and Suzuki were both attempting the same, and if the Noale machine didn-t quite cut it on the track, as ...

Aprilia RSV4 Factory versus 2009 Honda Fireblade – Road Tests: First Rides…

Aprilia RSV4 Factory versus 2009 Honda Fireblade Aprilia’s RSV4. makes the ‘Blade feel soft First, a confession; the RSV4 Factory does it for me in a massive way and, for that reason, the following words aren’t the most objective you’ll read today. It’s simple maths. In my shed sit a V4 Honda NC30, 1991 vintage, and a 2002 Aprilia RSV-R. Were they to mate, the inspired offspring would be the RSV4. A couple of months ago, James Whitham and Niall Mackenzie were kept from the RSV4 Factory’s world launch at Misano by hectic diaries and I got the gig. Italy’s notoriously slippery Misano circuit may have been rain-lashed but the Aprilia’s class shone through: unbelievable ...

Nissan GT-R takes on Aprilia RSV4 at Monticello – Autoblog

Nissan GT-R takes on Aprilia RSV4 at Monticello Comments Add Car versus motorcycle is a never-ending debate, which can leave both sides of the room shouting and pointing (middle) fingers. Hell for Leather certainly sits on one side of the debate, but the crew also knows a thing or two about four-wheeled modes of transportation. Aprilia came to the HFL team to help produce a video showing what the new 2011 RSV4 Factory APRC SE can do against an automobile on a track. Nissan Mick’s Bit Mick’s Bit on Car v Bike (part 4) Righty’o then. Just read Eric and IOMTT’s post. Both made excellent points. As it happens, I actually planned to address the issues surrounding, the ...
