Ducati Diavel is devilish fun – latimes.com

Ducati Diavel is devilish fun Ducati calls its first-ever muscle bike the Diavel, or devil. A better name might be the Guidata, or wizard, considering its near-magic handling. There are a lot of things about the Diavel that defy its spec sheet, most notably its long, 62.6-inch wheelbase and fat, 240 millimeter rear tire, the latter of which was designed by Pirelli specifically for the Diavel. Contoured like a cone, instead of an upside-down bowl like most fat-tired cruisers, Pirelli’s Diablo Rosso II helps the bike effortlessly lean into turns at low and high speeds and is largely responsible for making this muscle bike as responsive and flickable as a sport bike. The engine also helps. ...

2012 Ducati Diavel Photo shoot

RacerTimes Exclusive: 2012 Ducati Diavel I’m not a bike guy, let’s put it out there, so this will most probably be one of the worst bike pieces you’ll ever read, especially in technical terms. To me, most bikes look the same; it’s either a cruiser, an off-road bike, a sports bike, or a scooter. Getting deeper into this world was always a challenge, I never figured out how people knew the difference between a Kawasaki ZX-10R and a ZX-6R without looking at the emblems. If I see a purpose-built drag bike or a custom show chopper, I’ll have no idea what I am looking at, just that it has two wheels and it’s loud. Except one bike, a bike that no matter how many different models of it ...

Ducati Diavel Review Ducati News Today

Ducati News Today Ducati Diavel Review By now if you can fog a mirror, you’ve heard all about the Ducati Diavel. According to the company it is the ‘New Shape of Power and Style’. Whatever it is, it is a radical departure from every model before it. So is the Diavel the next runaway success or has, as the kids like to say, Ducati jumped the shark? Read on and find out. It didn’t start well. On my way to pick up the Diavel from NPR Ducati I found myself cruising in the fast lane in my car with the cruise control on. A Harley entered the freeway from the on-ramp and commenced accelerating (or the closest equivalent it could manage). The rider crossed 3 lanes before depositing his ...

Ducati unveils Dual Spark Diavel motorcycle

Story Highlights Latest model features two spark plugs per cylinder head. Full LED lighting, chopped exhaust among new design features. Carbon version trims 11 pounds off the bike. SHARE 41 CONNECT 12 TWEET 3 COMMENT EMAIL MORE Ducati has unveiled its newest iteration of the Diavel power cruiser: the 2015 Diavel Dark and two carbon versions, the Carbon Red and Carbon White. To many people, the word cruiser brings images of Harley-Davidsons or Indians. Stretched out bikes with forward foot pegs, longer handle bars, perhaps a sissy bar for the passenger — and plenty of chrome. No so for Ducati. The Diavel barely has any chrome, if at all, and instead invites eyes to focus on the ...

Ducati Diavel – webBikeWorld

Ducati Diavel Power Cruiser November 3, 2010 – The power cruiser is apparently the NBT (Next Big Thing), with more than one motorcycle manufacturer trying to jump the curve to the next level of cruiser style and performance now that Harley-Davidson seems to have lost its way. I was vaguely aware of the new Ducati Diavel after seeing a couple of low-res photos over the last few weeks, but I didn’t think much about it one way or another. Now I’m sure there are Ducati purists that are pulling their eyebrows out with worry and grief over their beloved sportbike company dabbling with anything that has the word cruiser in it. But look what happened (or is happening) to H-D. The ...
