Chassis The 2006 CBR600RR utilized a die-cast aluminum twin-spar frame and rear swing arm–both of which were redesigned in 2005 to increase frame rigidity–to enhance the motorcycle’s maneuverability. The rider was supported by a removable aluminum sub-frame. The motorcycle’s fuel tank was mounted lower within the frame and concealed by a plastic cowl to lower the motorcycle’s center of gravity and create a smaller, compact frame.
