Hopkins and Rizla Suzuki back together at Sepang …

Hopkins and Rizla Suzuki back together at Sepang John Hopkins will re-join the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP team as a wild-card rider in Sepang for the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday 23rd October. Hopkins will make a welcome return to the Rizla Suzuki squad for his second wild-card event of the season. His first event was at Brno where he unfortunately crashed and injured his right hand in a practice session. He had shown huge potential during the first day and had finished in 10th place on the time-sheets, but his injury on day two stopped the Anglo-American from showing what he might have achieved after a full weekend on-board the Suzuki GSV-R. Hopkins has already completed a MotoGP race this season, ...

2010 Suzuki GSX1300 Katana Super Streetbike

0908_sbkp_09_z+2010_suzuki_katana+right_view.jpg It arrived in 1980 with a background of gasps – the public didn’t quite know what to make of the fastest Suzuki ever. Styled by German design house Target, the bullet-shaped nose and angular profile was unlike anything prior, and motorcyclists the world over either loved it or hated it – there was no fence-sitting here. The space age looks may have arrived in the era of Star Wars but there was the go to match the show. Although discontinued after just four years, the Katana had made its mark (the styling cues can still be seen on many bikes today) and was resurrected many times in limited numbers. There were offshoots as well ...

Suzuki Motorbike Insurance Quote – Motorcycle Cover Bennetts

Suzuki Motorcycle Insurance A brief history of Suzuki motorcycles Like many of the Japanese motorcycling greats Suzuki Motor Co. began life from the seeds of a different business venture, and was entirely driven by one man’s passion for speed and engineering. Michio Suzuki was already the man behind the Suzuki Loom Company in Hamamatsu, Japan. Suzuki constantly updated his own design of weaving machines, which at the time, were very complicated. With an interest in speed and engine design, Suzuki threw himself into the design of a new car in the late 1930s. By 1940, Suzuki’s prototype cars were up and running with a new breed of four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 800cc four-cylinder engines. ...

Cyril Green’s Motorcycle Memoirs

Cyril Green’s Motorcycle Memoirs Down and out This is the last available excerpt from Cyril Green’s memoirs. There are, I’m sure, many fascinating extracts that we haven’t yet seen, but for now, with Cyril lost in the Russian hinterland, his young wife Francesca has asked for some privacy and the diaries remain under lock and key. Thankfully, her gardener, Claudio, is offering great support, in between bouts of expert dibbing, hardening off and pricking out. From Cyril’s memoirs dated 15 April 2008 Ewan and Charlie, eh? Long Way Down? Great entertainment, but I do wish there had been a camera crew on hand when Mr Unlucky himself, Kevin Stott, undertook his ill-advised ...
