Bonneville has adhered to its winning for 50 years, and the 2009 model a slight departure by switching to injection. Though the power felt slightly less than I was hoping for, its horsepower, better fuel and fewer emissions—outweigh its drawbacks. The new hardware even looks and retro, in keeping with the decades old appearance.
