The 2009 Ural Gear-up is built around an overhead valve air cooled four stroke flat twin engine that displaces 749cc and produces 40 horsepower at the rear wheel. 38 lb/ft of torque help the 2009 Ural Gear-up power up banks, plow through snow, rain, mud, or sand with equal ease, and in a touchingly vintage note, is started via either electric or kick starting. A four speed transmission with reverse brings you to the rated top speed of 62 miles per hour without too much fuss.

The 2009 Ural Gear-up is a ride that was certainly built not for highway use, but for back roads and trails. A five gallon fuel tank supplies plenty of go-juice for your adventures, though you’ll find that your fuel economy is slightly less than spectacular given the additional weight of the Ural sidecar.
