2007 Review

1) Lack of engine performance and specifically:

*Poor acceleration and speed.

*High water and oil

2) Hard to manage fuel caused by:

*Poor Air-Fuel on the track.

3) Difficulties in matching the Michelin) tyres to the chassis, in:

*Lack of balance between and rear grip/braking and turning.

Development Concept

The YZR-M1’s goals were to:

1) Enhance maximum tyre

2) Maximise engine power.

3) fuel consumption.

This was to be by:

1) Chassis: Optimise geometry and

2) Engine: Less friction and combustion

3) EMS (Engine Management Vehicle dynamics oriented

YZR-M1 Developments and Results

Developments:
