Yamaha RD125 Café kit and LS2)

I make no excuses for my in tiddler bikes, in the case a makeover kit for RD 125s, RD200s and guess the preceding LS2. fun little air cooled bikes are dirt cheap and little should be invested in them you are going road racing in 200 Grand Prix Plus (YCS1 180cc pre ’69) or the 125 class (RD200). In that low spirit I’m going to a shieldless café fairing light opening) and a café with seat, that’s it.

else you see in my concept drawing is parts with paint. Heck I don’t know, 90 for fairing and $190 for the tail. a guess and I’ll be wrong.

Now as I do my other kits, I take of interested folks and send progress reports with If you want to be mailed updates write me at litadv@aol .com and stick you on the list.

Rear for Yamaha RD125 L/C

sets for the RD125 L/C are completely If you search RD 125 L/C rear sets you find about three around the world who offer but I flat guarantee you none of companies have them in And their prices run from to $395.

I am offering this brand new NOS set kit for RD 125 L/Cs from 1982 to They are Swedish made and mount on black powder cast aluminum plates replace the stock footrest The pegs and levers are cast and are powder coated in a near-chrome

All other parts are chrome or raw aluminum.

Now this kit does not with instructions so I have pre-assembled. If you have one of these zingers-café it out with my products and rear sets.

here’s the first peek at the finished fairing and tail. I had time to show them on the yet—too busy with parts. I should get back to the café project in a month.

If you look closely at the fairing see that mold line line) leaving the handle bar as it moves down under the opening. The cutout in the tail is for coils and other bits protrude above the seat

That thin vertical at the front of the tail is the rear hold-down pocket. Both although dedicated to little should fit other small I will provide inside the next time I write so you can these parts for small etc.

Now you can see fairing and tail in their form. The gray stuff you see on the is Duratech. It is a two part spray-on that is hard enough to and polish to a mirror finish. surface is what the mold is from.

The next time you see part it will be all shiny and off for it will go.

The fairing is almost In another hour of work it be. Now you can see the ‘S’ shaped style I’ve included to give would be a common fairing uniqueness.

This is also a dividing line for dual paint schemes.

The fairing be held in position by the turn and the side reflectors so mounting take no time at all. thought this fairing is made for RD125/200/LS2 it will fit small bikes with a no wider than 6 1/4

All for now.

Well the fairing now looks like a fairing. Forgive me but I am to give this fairing a bit of flair. The top portion is a bit wider the lower portion and I’m to put a slight mold line you see my black marks.

This is to be a paint dividing line for who want do a two tone paint

To see what I mean, see the fairing on my 450 café. If you have any recommendations or me at This email address is protected from spambots. You JavaScript enabled to view it.

Work begins. As my café kit will work the stock tank to keep the kit low. Here you see initial on the tail. I’ve cut up an existing tail because that’s easier when making a new for a mold.

The tail will with four bolts and has to be to hold the back of the tank

That L’ shaped in front is access to oil tank and for the coil. The hole in back be filled to follow the shortened for two of the tail mounting bolts. (I am to cut off the rear of the fender so the balance act as a mud guard-you may wish to do the same but off because we may want to keep a portion for taillight mounting). I am about making a storage in the tail hump but that probably be an option.

My goal is to make a fairing for RD125, and LS2s which mounts to holes in the steering head It will not have a windshield for two one, its too low to need one and two, to the cost to a minimum. A fairing has to some where. Here you see the of the hole around the headlight.

Much of a fairing’s support from fairing and headlight

That’s it for now. If you would to have my future progress sent directly to your just write me at This address is being protected spambots. You need JavaScript to view it. Thanks
